The Future of Mining Summit, organized by The Projects Magazine in collaboration with the Botswana Chamber of Mines, stands as a premier platform for industry leaders to convene, collaborate, and address pressing issues in mining. This annual event serves as a crucial forum for mining executives, government officials, policymakers, industry visionaries, investors, and ESG stakeholders to collectively shape the trajectory of the sector.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Honourable Mmusi Kgafela, BITC Board Chairperson, Ms. Gomolemo L. Madikgetla, BITC CEO, Mr. Keletsositse Olebile, and Director – Business Services, Francistown Office, Mr. Gaorekwe Gaorekwe graced the event.

Mr. Olebile delivered an insightful presentation on “Doing Business in Botswana,” highlighting how Botswana can effectively position itself as a leading mining investment destination. Through his presentation, Mr. Olebile emphasized attracting both local and international investors by showcasing the stability, profitability, and responsible mining practices that Botswana offers.

He also outlined the favorable incentives provided by BITC to investors and the key facilitation services offered by the Centre. The 2-day Future of Mining Summit started today and ends tomorrow.
