Zenzele Hirschfeld is one of the most respected music promoters in the country and she has been in the game for over 15 years. Having done big events like the University of Botswana Freshers’ Ball, Orapa and Jwaneng Round Table Beer festivals, Mafikizolo Fantook Afa Launch, Fanta Music Mega Party as well as the Miss Millenium brand since it started to date, she is by no doubt a force to be reckoned with.
This is a dog eat dog industry and for a woman to be in it for this long is exceptional. She has gone through it all, but remains standing. Quite lately, Hirschfeld was involved in promoting Nnunu Ramogotsi’s Mmasonoko Red Carpet video premiere as well as Trinity Mphoeng’s Red Carpet Unplugged Night.
She is the first female Motswana full time music promoter and first woman to head a music association as President (Botswana Promoters’ Association-BEPA) and under her first year of leadership, she spearheaded and advocated for President Ian Khama’s AFRIMMA Award where he was bestowed with Transformation Leadership award, which he won in 2014 but only received it in February 2015.
