Zenzele Clears The Air On Who Is The First Local Artist To Get Nominated For A Metro Award

This morning promoter and business woman Zenzele Hirschfeld took it to social media to set the record straight on who the first Motswana to get a Metro FM Music Award was. This comes after the recent nominations where a local artist Vee has been labelled as the first local nomination ever. According to Zenzele, one Veezo was the first ever nomination back in 2013.

“A lot of you have followed and liked posts that welcomed Veezo to the Zen Promotions Management. This morning I share with you just a snippet of who this star is,”Zenzele said. She continued to expalin that Veezo is the first motswana Artist to get nominated for a Metro fm Award, who has featured in GQ Magazine feature in June 2013 and Hype Magazine.

Zenzele shared a picture from The Botswana Gazette archives, followed by a 2013 interview when Veezo was nominated under the Best music category. This might not be well known because it happened when Veezo was signed to South Africa record label Motherland, and based in SA. “We remain proud to have Veezo in
