Zebras Do Us Proud By Winning Against Burkina Faso
The ongoing AFCON 2017 qualifying games played this weekend saw the Botswana national football team beat their counterparts Burkina Faso 1-0 in our own backyard.
The only sole goal of the match was scored by the Rollers football club sensation and Zebras captain, Julius Mogorosi on the 50th minute of the second half. The stadium was filled up well, in spite of previous disappointments from the national team.
The head coach, Peter Butler had to say this about some of the players, “Mosha was fantastic, Moyana has a great engine and Skhebo was outstanding. “In a real world Moyo would probably be a horse jockey because he is so light, he doesn’t carry much weight. But he has natural fitness, he was outstanding today and I thought he worked well. I wanted to give him 70 minutes but I asked him when I had warmed up Segolame but he looked sharp, he has come into the National team and done well the way he runs the channel.”
Although we played with a lot of opportunities, the results are good for the team, as they have previously suffered a 2-0 loss against the Ugandan Cranes.
