Youngster uses passion to make extra cash

Kebakaone Tsamaloba who is a trained graphic designer uses his love for art and passion to make a living. The young talented man who hails from Maun uses some of the monumental aspects only found in Maun like the staple food “Tswii” on clothing material to better tell the world about what Maun can offer top them.

Tsamaloba is a Limkokwing University graduate and has been working as a graphic designer since 2016 with the Football Union Botswana. Tsamaloba does all the work for the union in regard to media and marketing. When he is not working the youngster works on his business which specializes on making clothing materials with designs that reveals a certain monumental element about Maun.

ON BUSINESS

Tsamalobastarted his business while still a student at Limkokwing University, he had wanted to team with some of his friends at the university but they ditched him along the way only to want to partner when they saw that the business was thriving. He runs the business alone and has assumed the role of a designer and president. The name of the business is Pround Maun Rep (PMR) to signify that it represents Maun with its continued use of Maun monuments.

EMPLOYMENT CREATION

The Maun born Tsamaloba, now has a full-time employee working under his watch. The employee works in the boutique set up by the inspired Tsamaloba to sell his clothing makes. In an interview with us lately the youngster revealed that he is to open another clothing store in Gaborone because the demand for his clothing line has grown.

ADVICE ON OTHER YOUTH

When asked what advice he could give to other youth in Botswana, Tsamaloba noted that the youth must learn to create opportunities for themselves, he said that waiting on the government to generate employment opportunities is a gamble. He added that the youth must learn to use what resonates in them and turn it into money making opportunities.
