World Post Day Commemorations – Selibe Phikwe

The second day of build-up activities towards commemoration of World Post Day in Selebi-Phikwe began with a debate on the topic “The post office is still relevant. We need it.”

This activity saw six of Selebi-Phikwe’s community junior secondary schools going up against each other, affirming and disavowing the statement accordingly in a debate competition. The aim of the event was to educate the youth on the importance of postal services and how the post office is still relevant in the modern day.

The second part of the day comprised of a public speaking session where Senior Secondary students articulated their understanding of the postal sector, based on the topic, “The evolution of post and what it holds for us in the future.”

The winning teams or individuals will be announced at the main event on Saturday, where prizes will be awarded according to performance.
