Wildlife Together With Tourism Launch Youth Training Project
Tourism in Botswana is one of the growing sectors, henceforth every opportunity that arises must be grabbed by both hands. The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism through the Department of National Museum and Monuments will launch capacity building and skills development project for youth in Tsodilo and surrounding areas today. This project will be officially launched by Business Botswana president Mr. Leta Mosienyane.
The objective of the project is to empower the youth in the communities around Tsodilo World Heritage Site by training them to acquire requisite skills that will position them to derive benefit from tourism activities around the site and the greater Okavango area. The skills acquired by the youth would also give them capacity to start small businesses that will cater for the tourism industry.
Young people are encouraged to attend this launch so that they can better their lives as well as be a part of the region’s developments. This can be attained if young people are given capital to start-up their businesses which are tourism related.
