WE WILL OVERCOME: PRESIDENT MASISI

Dumelang Batswana betsho. It is the 8th day since we were placed under quarantine as a precautionary measure. We are, however, doing a lot of work. We receive daily briefs from the COVID 19 Task Force and I am providing strategic direction. I have also been busy raising funds and necessary goods for the COVID-19 Relief Fund in preparation for our national response to COVID 19.

I remain positive that we are going to overcome this biggest challenge as a nation and a people.

Finally, I urge all of you to obey the law including law enforcers without exception. I once again assure you that the reported incidents of alleged abuse will all be investigated and reported on. Anyone who abuses their authority or assumes authority they do not have will face the wrath of the law or administrative sanction.

Stay at home, wash your hands regularly with soap & water, sneeze and cough into your inner elbow. Do not drink or smoke and keep at least two metres away from others, and avoid handshakes.
