On April 24, 2025, Botswana’s Vice President and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ndaba N. Gaolathe, attended the 29th Statutory Meeting of the Africa Group I Constituency, where he represented Botswana as the Governor for the World Bank Group. The meeting served as a significant platform for African nations to engage in discussions on global financial matters, with a focus on economic development, poverty reduction, and addressing the challenges facing the African continent.
The Vice President was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including the Alternate Governor, Permanent Secretary Dr. T.A. Kganetsano, Ambassador to the USA Mr. Mpho M. C. Mophuting, and other key government officials. Together, they participated in high-level discussions that are critical to advancing Botswana’s development goals and strengthening its financial relationships with international institutions like the World Bank Group.
