Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) is a telecommunications company that is wholly owned by the Government of Botswana. BoFiNet has been charged with the responsibility of running an important national strategic asset in the high capacity fibre and wireless radio network within Botswana as well as the international terrestrial links from Botswana to the rest of the world as well as Points of Presence across the world. BoFiNet manages these networks in order to create an open access wholesale capability, serving the telecommunications industry in Botswana and abroad. The intent is to drive the vision of Botswana by promoting an Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) enabled environment.

This fast growing company would like to invite suitably qualified, commercially oriented and self-driven individuals to apply for the above position.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic direction, monitoring key KPIs to assess technological performance, research and implementation of new cutting edge technologies that brings value, leadership in technology evolution, information systems, infrastructure development and operations of national and international telecommunications networks services. The incumbent shall also manage the corporations’ assets in the submarine cables as well international Points of Presence.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information, Communication and Technology, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a related area.
• Master’s Degree or related post graduate development programme or qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of Twelve (12) years post qualification experience in an ICT Engineering and commercially oriented environment of which five (5) should have been served at a senior management level.
