VACANCY NO. FHS/SoAHP 2/2017: PART-TIME LECTURER IN HISTOLOGY AND CYTOLOGY, SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS (re-advertisement)
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) undertake teaching of courses in the BSc Cytotechnology & Histotechnology Science programme (ii) conduct research in cytology and histology (ii) make contributions to the development of cytotechnology and histotechnology science profession (iii) coordinate or lead the activities in the profession (vi) undertake administration/coordination activities at the institution.
Requirements: To qualify for appointment as a Lecturer candidates must have at least (i) Bachelor’s degree in Cytology or Histology with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (ii) Master’s degree in Cytology or Histology ; (iii) evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) be registrable with the Botswana Health Professions Council as a cytologist or histotechnologist. Experience in teaching at university/tertiary institution and ability to teach non-gynecologic cytology is an advantage.
