Vacancy-Branch Supervisor(FMS) – Francistown G4S
Purpose
To ensure the smooth running of daily operations within the designated area of the business in such a manner as to ensure the continuous provision of a professional cleaning service that meets the requirements of clients.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage the smooth day-to-day running of the relevant sites/contracts to ensure profitability,
- Ensure that the business objectives are achieved through efficient management of operations in order to ensure profitability,
- Performance management which includes managing, leading and motivation subordinates to work effectively in order to achieve the set goals,
- Manage and control budget overheads and costs,
- Ensure that sites are fully covered as per agreed customer contract requirements and neat to the required standard,
- Site visits are to be carried out according to laid down frequency norms as directed by operations management,
- Analyze ER to manage manpower allocation and rectify any anomalies picked,
- Hold formal customer meetings on a monthly basis and share minutes with clients and line manager,
- Facilitate replacement of employees who left the company by completing the requisite documentation,
- Ensure that staff at terminated contracts are served with termination of employment letters timely taking into account the notice period,
- Determine training needs for each given site/post and where necessary ,recommend training to be conducted to meet customer requirements,
- To ensure that all personnel are fully equipped and dressed in accordance to the Company Policy,
- All equipment to be checked to ensure it is in good working order and well maintained,
- Maintain a site equipment register within the ER system,
- During site visits ,check equipment register against actual equipment on site and ensure all equipment is accounted for and deal with any irregularities,
- Ensure that all the HSE requirements are implemented across all sites within the area of responsibility and that staff perform their duties in a safer manner,
- Ensure proactive risk management through effective risk assessment and identification of potential risk exposures both within the office and at clients’ premises,
- Ensure that health and safety risk assessments are conducted in accordance with the HSE Company Policy,
- Ensure that staff is trained adequately and facilitate retraining,
- Arrange formal performance appraisal for staff and where applicable, assist them to address identified shortfalls,
- Schedule regular meetings with staff and facilitate resolution of all issues raised in the meeting and provide feedback to staff;
- Ensure that pay queries for staff are attended to and resolved timely.
Competencies
- Diploma in Hospitality/Business Related Certificate,
- Clean Driver’s license- minimum of 5 years,
- At least 5 years working in a management role,
- Knowledge in Abseiling ,
- Knowledge of Cleaning Industry will be an added advantage,
- Knowledge of the development and implementation of policies and procedures,
- Experience in establishing strong operation mechanisms for performance,
- Autonomous and results oriented, with a clear determination to succeed,
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment,
- Demonstrated good leadership and management skills,
- Demonstrated ability to withstand pressure;
- Decision support experience.
