Job description
Key Performance Areas:
- Maintaining the general ledger on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and adequacy of entries posted in the trial balance
- Prepares journals for all transactions and capture into the system
- Managing all debtors and creditors for the company
- Making payments after checking invoices for completeness and compliance
- Fixed assets register maintenance and preparation of monthly insurance assets schedules to ensure that all company assets are insured
- Providing assistance to both internal and external auditors
- Computing VAT and remitting
- VAT and PAYE to ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance for full ACCA or CIMA
- 1 year experience in a similar or related environment
- Good people management skills, including managing people dynamics
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office packages and accounting systems
- Must have good report writing and presentation skills
