The Regent Group is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to fill in the following vacancies.

1. Receptionists-Manong Game Lodge-2

Requirements:

atleast a certificate in Tourism and hospitality or related

-2 years experience as a receptionist with full knowledge of the Opera System

Duties include:

• Checking guests in and out on Opera operating system

• Collecting of payments to settle room / PMS accounts

• To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.

• Keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times.

• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk

• To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.

• To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently.

• To keep up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.

• To administer the general petty cash system and float in an accurate manner.

• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

• To undertake any other ad-hoc duties (rooms, cleaning, bar and restaurant work) relevant to the post, as and when required.

2. TOUR GUIDE

we are seeking a personable ,professional tour guide to offer our guests an exceptional experience while visiting our facility.

Requirements:

-must possess a driver’s licence

-must have a tour guide certificate

-2 years previous work experience as a tour guide with traceable references

-should be able to engage with clients in informative and interactive conversations.

-should be able to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately with knowledge of animal species

-should be fluent in English and have knowledge of any other exotic language will be an added advantage

-should portray high emotional intelligence when dealing with guests.

-should have basic computer skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills

-knowledgeable in safety and security protocols

3. Group Executive Chef-1

An Executive Chef oversees the daily operations of restaurant and hotel kitchens. This include hiring, training and overseeing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective product for Regent City Hotel, Regent Kgale Lodge and Manong Game Lodge.

Requirements:

-must possess atleast a diploma in Tourism and Hospitality or any related qualification.

-atleast 5 years experience as an executive chef with traceable references.

Duties

• Develops and motivates supervisors and culinary staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis.

• Display exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment, counselling employees as appropriate and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to management.

Should be able to provide direction for all day-to-day operations in the kitchen.

• Understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees’ absence or determine appropriate replacement to fill gaps.

• Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and kitchen staff.

• should advocate sound financial/business decision making, demonstrates honesty, integrity and also leads by example.

• Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.

• Delegates as appropriate to develop supervisors and subordinates to accept responsibility and meet clearly defined goals and objectives.

• Actively involves in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared and sold in the Food and Beverage operation.

• Determines how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.

• Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavour.

• Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.

• Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.

• Ensures all equipment in the kitchen is properly maintained and in working order in accordance with local Health department and hotel standards.

• Coordinates with the purchase department and responsible for acquisition of needed goods and services.

• Actively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.

• Maintain Quality levels of receiving, storage, production and presentation of food.

• Trains kitchen associates on the fundamentals of good cooking and excellent plate presentations. Also interview and hire new applicants for kitchen.

• Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to hotel operational Standard and Management Policy.

4. Junior Chef-Regent Select Hotel-1

We are looking for a dedicated junior chef to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The junior chef’s responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other chefs as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

Requirements:-

-Atleast a Certificate in Culinary arts or any relevant qualification.

-atleast 3 years experience

-Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.

-Proven experience working as a Junior chef.

-The ability to follow recipes.

-The ability to work in a team.

-The ability to stand for extended periods of time.

-Effective communication skills.

-Mass or banqueting and ala carte Catering

-Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of state of sanitary food handling practices.

-Prepare, Observe and test to determine it has been cooked sufficiently.

-Measure and weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes.

-Regulate the temperature of ovens and grills.

-Consult with supervisor to plan, manage and coordinate menus.

-Ordering and stock taking procedures

-Inspect food supplies, equipment & work areas for cleanliness and functionality of equipment.

5. Housekeeper-Regent Select Hotel-1

Requirements-

-atleast 2 years experience in the housekeeping department

-no qualifications needed

Duties

• Greeting guests and responding to queries.

• Changing bed linen and making beds.

• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap, Sweeping, mopping floors and Vacuuming carpets.

• Dusting and polishing furniture and realign furniture to the floor plan.

• Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.

• Restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar.

• Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.

• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.

• Attend to guest calls, guests’ requests/guest complaints in the area assigned to them.

• Responsible for lost and found items found in the rooms or public area.

• Assist with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of other team member or other tasks assigned by the manager.

• Sort all linens and treat stains.

• Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents.

• Take wet, clean items and dry as directed.

• Sort and fold or hang clean dried items.

• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to housekeeping supervisor.

• Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform supervisor as to any maintenance needs.

• Check all items for damage or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.

• Report immediately to the superiors in case any valuable items like cash, jewellery, credit cards etc. found in guests cloth pockets.

6. Maintenance Technician- Manong Game Lodge

Requirements:

-must possess atleast a certificate in Electrical engineering and Airconditioning or any related qualification

-must have atleast 3 years experience as a maintenance technician

Duties include:

• Inspecting the lodge and hotel, equipment, and systems as well as the staff houses to identify any issues that may need attention.

• Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures.

• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.

• Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.

• Planning and scheduling repairs for both the Lodge and the Hotel.

• Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.

• Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.

• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)

• Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.

• Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.

• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs

• Maintaining the building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly

• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

• Perform manual repairs when necessary such as to fix locks, replace windows.

• Assist any client that might need basic first aid attention promptly
