Vacancies- District Coordinator And Field Worker Wanted At BONASO
The Botswana Network of AIDS Service Organtisations(BONASO) is one of the Implementers of the TB in the Mining Sector Project(Community System Strengthening Module)in Selibe Phikwe to build capacity of existing community structures to support the key Populations in matters of TB,Human Rights and Gender Barriers through capacity building,advocacy and referrals for service,BONASO is recruiting for the roles of (1) District Coordinator and (1) Field Officer.
District Coordinator
Reporting to the Programme Manager,the District Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the district activities,delivering outcomes and coordinating priorities as identified by BONASO.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires a candidate able to work with limited direct supervision to;
-oversee day to day implementation of the project in the District in line with the project methodology
-Provide administrative support to the Project in the District and serve as ex-officio member of committees convened.
-Assist in recruitment and supervision of Community Mobilizers
-Provide monthly M&E data and compile progress reports in liasion with M&E Officer at HQ.
-Actively participate and lead all project activities,meetings and being able to articulate the objective and processed of the project to key populations
-Actively participate in the development review,decision making and tracking of programme budgets for the CSS Portfolio to ensure effective and efficient resource allocation and utilization.
-Responsible for liasing and positive working relations with stakeholders within the District especially among the key populations .
-Coordinate with BONASO on district assessment,planning and implementation needs.
Qualification,Skills and Experience
-The ideal candidate must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health,Development Studies,Community Psychology Health or related field plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in Community/Public Helath Programmes.
-Previous work experience in community based programme implementation is a must
-Experience and knowledge in public health and organizational management
-Demonstrate experience with Partipatory Community Approaches.
-Ability to deliver project on time,on budget and to a high standard.
-Ability to lead a team of field officers and peer educators to provide effective and efficient performance in achieving project objectives.
-High level written and verbal communication skills and presentation
FIELD OFFICER
The Field Officer shall report to the District Coordinator.He/She shall be responsible for particular tasks related to implementation of project especially community outreach activities,monitoring activities,communication with Key Population and stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilites
-Field work/Community based programme implementation
-Involvement in project site monitoring and regular reporting to the District Coordinator
-Comunicate critical information to District Coordinator
-Support BONASO’s efforts to strengthen stakeholder relationships within the District especially amongst the TIMS key populations(miners,ex miners,their families and peri-mining communities)
-Project activity reporting and documenting.
Knowledge Skills and Ability
-Ability to liaise effectively with team members in a project setting
-Ability to promote TIMS activies to key populations
-Good presentation skills
-Ability to exercise sound judgement
-Good presentation skills
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Basic computer literacy
