1. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Main purpose of the job

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development the candidate shall be responsible
for providing human resource and administrative support so as to ensure implementation of BITC’s HR procedures and terms and conditions of employment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Assists in recruiting staff through development of Job Descriptions, preparing adverts, shortlisting, interviewing and selection of candidates
• Creates, maintains and updates all HR files and employee personal files.
• Contribute to the development of the BITC staff welfare Programme.
• Maintains records on training and ensures that all training expenses have been properly recorded and costed.
• Provides staff with clerical support-Processing of medical aid, insurance and pensions.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or Management plus three years’ experience in Human Resources or Office Administration. Knowledge on HR systems
such as VIP, ESS etc would be an added advantage.

2. MANAGER STRATEGY & COMPETITIVENESS

Main purpose of the job

Reporting to the Director Strategy and Competitiveness (Corporate Strategy) the incumbent shall be responsible for implementing the planning and execution process of BITC’s Corporate Strategy while driving corporate performance measurement, monitoring and reporting. To ensure cross-departmental sector and market strategy alignment, and regularly review of value add services relative to customer expectations.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree and/or professional qualification in business related course plus six years’ relevant work experience in a successful international business oriented organisation

3. DIRECTOR – PROPERTY SERVICES

Main purpose of the job

Reporting to the Executive Director Business Facilitation, the candidate shall be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective land acquisition; Property development; Management and maintenance of BITC assets.

Key Performance Areas

• Motivate for the acquisition, purchase, development of BITC Properties in line with BITC Act 2011.
• Undertake technical assessment including structural integrity of all BITC properties;
• Project manage all property development or related projects by ensuring that there is adequate resourcing (budget, risk management, manpower, supervision, quality control).
• Manage all third parties engaged by BITC including waste management, cleaning services, security services.
• Conduct periodic inspections of the property and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with lease agreements and the proper upkeep of the property.
• Ensure that property and lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date in accordance with company policy. Prepare and maintain appropriate tenant lease files, records, correspondence and file notes.
• Enters into service level agreements with contractors and suppliers and ensures that contractual obligations are met;
• Undertakes pre-and post-inspections of property.
• To ensure that all properties remain in good state.
• Monitor and review staff performance.
• Manages the Property Department and ensures that staff is aligned with BITC’s vision, mission, values and that their individual objectives are properly aligned.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Real Estate but preferably a Master’s degree in relevant field. Eight years, three of which should be of supervisory level within a business related field. The candidate, should be a member of Botswana Real Estate Institute.

4. DIRECTOR – INFORMATION COMMUNICATION & TECHNOLOGY

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Executive Director Shared Services the incumbent shall plan, organize and oversee the implementation of the BITC ICT strategy and project manage all ICT related systems and ensures that BITC is ICT enabled in order to achieve its mandate.

Key Performance Areas

• Develop and implement an ICT Strategy aligned to the Business Strategy.
• Participates in the development of the organisation strategic plan and gives advice on current trends to enable the formulation of a robust ICT strategic plan.
• Develops or sources the necessary policies and frameworks to enable the implementation of the BITC ICT strategy.
• Initiates and review, BITC’s ICT projects and enter into service level agreements with other business units for every business development initiative requiring ICT interventions.
• Leads the development of BITC Business Continuity strategy and implementation to mitigate ICT systems risks and ensures maximum system uptime.
• Conduct periodic inspections of ICT infrastructure to ensure they remain in good condition.
• Sets up and manages Communications platforms.
• Monitor’s adherence to ICT policies.
• Facilitates for annual ICT audits to assess information security risk.
• Monitor and review staff performance.
• Manages the ICT Department and ensures that staff is aligned with BITC’s vision, mission, values and that their individual objectives are properly aligned.

5. DIRECTOR – RISK & COMPLIANCE

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent shall provide management and the audit subcommittee of the Board with an objective and independent assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the governance, risk management and control processes, as well as internal consulting services to improve operations corporate governance status.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Develops the Risk Management Strategy
• Establish a Fraud line and act on the reports thereof.
• Development of risk based audit plan and Implementation of the internal audit plan and make recommendations.
• Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the governance, risk management and control processes.
• Establishes systems i.e. policies, programmes and frameworks for the auditing and quality control activities and ensure their implementation by developing operational plans.
• Reviews business units and sections’ processes and systems and recommends appropriate way of working in order to minimize risk.
• Monitor and review staff performance.
• Manages the Risk and Compliance Department and ensures that staff is aligned with
BITC’s vision, mission, values and that their individual objectives are properly aligned

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accounting and/Auditing qualification plus five years auditing and risk management experience, three of which should have been at a supervisory level.
