Trevor Noah’s Book To Touch On His Real Life Story
South African comedian Trevor Noah’s novel Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood is set to be released on November 15. Born A Crime delves into Trevor’s childhood and journey of being the child of an illegal mixed race relationship during the Apartheid regime.
Information about the book revealed on Trevor Noah’s website state that this is the compelling, inspiring, and comically sublime story of a young man’s coming-of-age, set during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed.
The book covers all aspects of the internationally renowned comedian’s life, including growing up in extreme poverty, his time in jail, facing murderous gangsters and trying to find teenage romance. “The experiences covered in this book will shock and amaze, even as they leave you rolling on the floor with laughter,” read part of the statement. In recent years, comedians like Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling have released books that have gone on to do very well, so Noah seems to be on the right track
