Township Rollers Management Not Impressed With Fans Behavior.

As much as football is a contact sport for the players, it is also an emotional sport for supporters. One of the biggest teams in Botswana Township Rollers has got a very large following who have a huge impact on the team. The fans seems not impressed by their captain Joel Juluka Mogorosi, and the vent their grievances through boos during official games.

Bafana Pheto, who is the club’s public relations officer, wrote an open letter to the fans to try and curb this behavior. “Management is concerned about the recent booing of players by some of the supporters. This behavior is particularly directed towards Joel Mogorosi during official games. We would like to condemn this behavior and request the perpetrators to stop it immediately,”he said.

He continued to emphasize that they value all their players and treat them equally. “They all belong to Township Rollers and they work as a team for the good of our club. If we continue to target and pick on certain players in our team and antagonize them, then we will be the ones dividing the team,” he said.
