Video: Tlhomela Dance Takes Botswana By Storm
Forget the new South African dance, Gwara-gwara, Batswana have come up with a new and fresh dope dance. The new dance move called ‘Tlhomela’ is now the in-thing around the country. It is also known as Zoma dance in some other parts of the country. The move requires one to go down on their toes, hold on to something with their hands and gyrate.
According to the experts, this dance move can be done only with high pitch songs such as house music. The dance style is now making waves across Southern Africa with artists already asking for clips so that they can put in their videos.
Tlhomela dance has been around but was made popular in Mochudi when a certain Jacqueline Mooketsi and her friends took to the stage to showcase their skills. A video was recorded and rest as they say is history, everyone is dancing the Tlhomela dance.
