The I Shall Not Forget Movement Is Still Going Strong!

Contrary to the notion that Batswana forget fast, there are a group of people out there who still want justice to be done. In Collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, the I Shall Not Forget movement hosted a high level Debate aimed at exploring structures, practices and laws in place to respond to and prevent the sexual abuse of children.

The Movement has been keeping its promise in word and in deed. On the 22nd of August they held an event where so much light was shed. Dedicated people still continue to wear black with royal blue ribbon every Monday to stand against sexual abuse of children. Black Monday is about re-affirming their pledge. Its about remembering the darkness that abuse is, so they wear black. Its about committing to bringing light to that darkness, and ensuring children are safe hence their ribbon.
