The Great Botswana Marathon Registration Open

Register at Shoprite and checkers stores country wide for your Great Botswana Marathon. Those who have registered are urged to come for their race number on 29th October. The marathon is an inclusive and comprehensive fitness initiative meant to promote tourism and wellness in Botswana.

The event will cover activities such as; marathon, aerobics, zumba, low impact exercises, long /short distance run, health screening and consultation. It is meant to be fun, engaging, entertaining and should not take up a great amount of time except the willingness to take up the challenge. The essence of The Great Botswana marathon is to celebrate the peace, beauty, and heritage of Botswana.

The marathon is anchored on routes that pass through the heritage sites of the different towns/cities. This highlights and reminds Batswana to treasure these sites and leaves a fond experience of the heritage sites in participants. The different heritage sites will be water points for the marathon.
