Temporary closure of new Lobatse/ Molepolole roads intersection

The New Lobatse Road and Molepolole Road intersection will be closed temporarily from Monday 4th July 2022 to Sunday 17th July 2022. This is due to construction works that will be done on the approaches and centre of the junction.
The construction works form part of the Layout Improvement of Selected Urban Road Intersections of the Greater Gaborone project.
In order to ease the flow of traffic during the construction period, traffic will be diverted around the intersection which will function like a roundabout, similar to the current arrangement at the three intersections along Western bypass. Warning and regulatory signs will also be visible to guide road users (Refer to sketch plan below).
The Public is urged to cooperate with the Contractors and the Botswana Police Service who will assist with traffic control during this period.
