Technical Manager Wanted At Kwena Concrete Products

Kwena Concrete Products invites suitably qualified citizens to apply for the position of Technical Manager. This position reports to the Head of Production.

Main Purpose Of The Job

Provides technical assistance, leads and oversees the design and production of pre-stressed, precast and concrete mix
products in accordance with the set quality standards.

Key Performance Areas

Translating KCP Strategy into sectional objectives and production plans.
Manufacturing of all products at planned quantities and the required quality standards.
Monitoring and management of Production budget and manufacturing cost control.
Ensuring strict adherence to maintenance plan of plant and machinery.
Conservation of plant energy, safety health and environmental management, and conducting audits as necessary.
Products and processes quality control and assurance.
Maintaining plant availabilities to agreed targets.
Reducing plant down time during repairs.
Efficient and optimal utilization of aggregates segregation and minimizing contamination.

Requirements

Analytical, design and results oriented.
A good understanding of standards and quality aspects of concrete production processes.
Knowledge of the construction industry and technology requirements.
Proactive and innovative.
Team player and team leadership skills.
Good interpersonal and communication and reporting skills
Excellent numerical and high level computer skills.
Excellent understanding of cement products and their manufacture.
Planning, organizing and negotiation skills.

Qualification And Experience

Diploma in Civil Engineering / Construction or equivalent from a recognized and accredited Institution.
A minimum of 3 years site experience in the construction industry/civil engineering environment required
Experience in working with structural elements and proven knowledge of construction materials essential
Prior experience in the manufacturing of concrete products and practical applications of engineering science and concrete technology is essential.
Knowledge of concrete mix designs and manufacturing of concrete products essential.
