The Senior Management team for the Ministry for State President have been encouraged to work as a team to improve service delivery and implementation of Government policies and programmes.
Addressing his managers this morning during the Ministry Management Retreat in Mahalapye, the Minister for State President Hon Kabo Morwaeng urged them to promote team work amongst themselves, adding that they are one thing and need each other to achieve their objectives. He encouraged the team to take criticism as positive feedback that should not be taken personal.
Minister Morwaeng said as the apex Ministry, their performance must at all-time be second to none, adding that this will require redoubled efforts, as well as a greater degree of teamwork from all of them. He said their coming together should allow for collective introspection on the best approaches towards coordination and providing excellent service delivery to the Office of the President, Government and Batswana at large.
The Minister indicated that the ministry must be a shining example for the Public Service as a whole and urged them to serve the Government and the nation selflessly. He further encouraged them to align their plans to the Government’s Reset Agenda as it is meant to improve service delivery and that it is imperative that they cascade it to reach the set Vision 2036 goals. He said emphasis should be placed on implementation and delivery of projects.
The Minister will sign his Performance Agreement (PA) with His Excellency President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi tomorrow which will be cascaded to the Ministry Senior Management. The Ministry is on a three-day retreat which serves as an opportunity for the management to reflect, evaluate and assess their performance, regroup and renew their commitment to serve effectively and efficiently.
