Tafic Player Phiri Claims he Slapped Moalosi Because He Insulted Him
The game between Township Rollers and Tafic yesterday was quite eventful. Not only did it leave many sad because of the game results but the game was full of chaos and drama that saw the referee issuing five red cards.
In the most shocking scene, TAFIC’s Zimbabwean defender, Samuel Phiri slapped Rollers’ winger Edwin Moalosi on claims that he called him ‘mokwerekwere’ and insulted his parents.
Phiri told the media that after he was given a red card, Moalosi hurled the insults at him and that is when he went to slap him. The slap sparked a brawl, resulting in the sending off of Rollers’ Joel Mogorosi and strike partner, Mthokozisi Msomi, who are likely to face a charge of violent conduct.
Mogorosi and Msomi will now miss the Mascom Top 8 encounter against Jwaneng Galaxy this weekend.
