Students Take New Era Students Management To Court
Following recent protests , the students feel that their grievances have not been heard properly. The New Era Student Representative Council SRC President Anderson Diteko told Yarona Fm News that they have resolved to taking the college management to court, following the Ministry of Education & Skills Development’s failure to address their concerns.
Diteko highlighted that the recent investigations by the ministry and Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) did not bring any solution to the concerns that students’ certificates are not recognized as well as other academic issues. According to the SRC president they said have already contacted several lawyers to represent them, urging parents to assist them with other ways of resolving the matter.
New Era students recently protested against academic and welfare matters at their school which led to the school’s temporary closure.
