Somizi Storms Out Of Church After A Homophobic Sermon

South African socialite and celebrity Somizi Mhlongo is already claiming diva of the year. This outspoken gay man yesterday stormed out of Grace Bible Church in Soweto after Bishop Dag Heward-Mills made the comments on Sunday, and took to social media saying he was deeply offended.

Mhlongo posted a video on his social media account on Sunday after the visiting pastor from nigeria said that animals don’t have same-sex partners, saying its ‘unnatural’ for humans too. “The church was cheering. I am not going to sit there and listen to someone offend me. This is who I am. I am a gay man, get it straight into your skull. My soul is alright with my God,” Somizi said.

Somizi called on churches across South Africa to make their stance on gay people known.The church has now come under fire on social media for comments made by Heward. The sermon has since been published on YouTube, which has sparked outrage and debate on Twitter. Watch the video here—->
