Smart Partnerships Crucial In Attaining Peace And Tranquility-Mmusi

The Minister of Defence and Security, Honourable Thomas Kagiso Mmusi, has indicated that Smart partnerships are key ingredients in attaining peace and tranquillity. When giving a Keynote address at the ongoing Ministry of Defence and Security Super MPIC Retreat today in Maun, he said that” our successes are a result of the smart partnerships we have established across the Ministry and various stakeholders. Minister Mmusi further urged his team to nurture oneness. ” This attribute of oneness, which characterises our Ministry, should be nurtured since it is a fundamental factor in distinguishing us as a security establishment from other institutions.” In regard to the ever changing security environment which is getting increasingly volatile, uncertain and complex, he said that it calls for the Ministry to adopt the stop, start or improve hard choices and commit to continuous improvement of services as advocated by the Reset Agenda. The Ministry of Defence and Security is on a three day retreat under the theme- UNITY OF PURPOSE TOWARDS THE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RESET AGENDA.
