Clifford Mochocho, 11, a standard six student at Bosele Primary School, was last seen alive over a month ago, sparking a desperate nationwide search for him. His disappearance was widely publicized in all sorts of media, and the nation was very resourceful in trying to find the boy. Sadly that search came to a tragic end after his step mother led the Police to is remains near Mmankgodi village.
The suspect 31 year-old Gaofenngwe Selaolo yesterday led the police to a bush, near Mmankgodi where she allegedly killed and buried her boyfriend’s son. Clifford, 11, had been missing since March 2. Louis Masimba who is the father narrates that Clifford left for school as usual that fateful day but never returned home. Masimba had hoped against hope for his son’s safe return but, as the days mounted, the chances of Clifford returning unharmed became increasingly unlikely.
Louis and Gaofenngwe were in an on and off relationship that could have contributed to this unfortunate incident. We should never ever let our differences affect innocent children. Arrangements for his burial are underway as his body is badly decomposed.
