Sad Note: Matsha Students Accident Leaves The Nation Mourning

126 students were involved in the accident. 7 fatalities; 5 died on the spot while 2 were confirmed dead at the hospital. 15 ambulances were sent to the scene. Police have confirmed the incident and say about 25 students were transported by an open truck that overturned after a tyre burst near the village of Dutlwe.

111 students are still hospitalized in various hospitals across the country. The nation is not pleased with the fact that students are still being transported in cattle trucks as opposed to buses which are safer.

President Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama has sent a message of condolence to the bereaved families.
