Main Purpose of the Job
Handles customer enquiries both in person and on the phone; and provides information and assistance to staff, learners and the public according to established standards to ensure the College achieves its mission.
Qualications, Experience & Competencies
• BGCSE or equivalent
• Receptionist Course
• At least one year as a receptionist in a busy office environment
Key Performance Areas
• Answers the telephone to assist callers with information on the College services and other related issues to ensure efficient and eeffective service delivery.
• Performs in-person reception duties for routine clients such as receiving visitors.
• Issues and collects security passes and ensures that visitors are entered into the visitor’s book to promote security and
accountability.
• Maintains the reception area in a tidy manner so that a favorable first impression is given to College visitors
Competencies
• Ability to operate switchboard
• Good telephone etiquette
• Smart professional appearance
• Ability to communicate well verbally
• Good knowledge of the University,
