Read: Fresh Lesokwane’s Message To Local Radio DJ’s!

It has become a norm for local artist to complain that their songs are not played on radio, as much as international artists songs are. One artists who has recently voiced his concern is Jazz star , Fresh Lesokwane. He took to his Facebook page that local radio DJ’s must start giving them support. His fans agreed with him, that all we hear from our radio stations in terms of music is international content.

The former Rhumba star has now switched music genres to Jazz after being persuaded by another Jazz maestro Liester Boleseng, and he seem to be doing so well. His album came out at the end of February last year and has songs such as Africa, Botshelo, Ke a lema, Go Monate, Tlhakantshuke, Tebogo Ke Mang, Maitshwaro and Matshidiso.

Another artist who is a pioneer in fighting for the rights of his fellow artists is Kast, the man who is on a mission to fill up the National stadium this coming May. Yesterday on his twitter account he had this to say, “Why do our radio stations n other countries in the region continue 2 play S.A music, while there Radios doesn’t play ours??”
