PRESIDENT MASISI RECIEVES DONATIONS

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has commended the United Arab Emirates and the Harvey family for a consignment of medical equipment that arrived in Botswana to help in the fight against Covid-19.

Receiving the consignment at the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport last night, President Masisi expressed his gratitude, adding that the equipment will go a long way in assisting Botswana’s frontline workers given the challenges that come with acquiring the necessary kit and equipment to deal with Covid19.

He thanked Mr Steve Mothusi Harvey and his wife Mrs Marjorie Lesedi Harvey for demonstrating true friendship to the people of Botswana during their time of need.

President Masisi said the donations will be put to great use as the country continues to weigh its efforts in combating Covid-19.

Meanwhile Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Lemogang Kwape revealed that the consignment that arrived last night was 4.2 tons of the 5 tons donated and the rest is expected later today.
