President Duma Boko Attends Botswana Examinations Council’s 15th Annual Excellence Awards

President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko graced the Botswana Examinations Council’s 15th Annual Excellence Awards held at the Grand Aria Hotel in Gaborone today. The event celebrated the achievements of students who excelled in their examinations across different levels, including the Primary School Leaving Examinations, Junior Certificate Examinations, Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education, and Special Education exams.

In his address, President Boko congratulated the Top Achievers, commending their hard work and dedication. He also acknowledged the crucial role played by parents and teachers in guiding and supporting the students, stating that their encouragement and sacrifices were instrumental in shaping the success of the learners.

The President used the platform to highlight the importance of rethinking Botswana’s education system. He emphasized the need to integrate vocational skills into the curriculum, ensuring that every learner’s talents are recognized and nurtured. He pointed out that this approach would not only provide practical skills but also help eliminate the stigma often associated with vocational education.

President Boko reiterated his government’s commitment to education reforms that align with the nation’s developmental goals.
