President Duma Boko and Choppies Unveil Revolutionary P4,000 Living Wage for Workers!

In a significant move towards enhancing employee welfare, President Advocate Duma Boko announced that Choppies Group will implement a minimum wage of P4,000 for its employees starting January 2025. This announcement was made during a kgotla meeting in Mahalapye, where President Boko commended Choppies for their commitment to improving the livelihoods of their workforce.  

President Boko emphasized the importance of fair compensation, urging other companies to follow Choppies’ example in providing decent living wages. He highlighted that such initiatives are crucial for the economic empowerment of workers and the overall development of the nation.

This move aligns with the government’s broader agenda to uplift the standard of living for Batswana. The administration has been advocating for a P4,000 minimum wage as part of its efforts to ensure economic equity and social justice.  

The implementation of the P4,000 minimum wage by Choppies sets a precedent in the private sector, reflecting a growing recognition of the need for sustainable and fair compensation practices.
