Police arrest 12 suspects for various Offences
Police have arrested three Batswana men aged between 22 and 26 of Bontieng. Gaborone, in connection with two separate robbery incidents that occurred yesterday (06/03/2022) in Broadhurst and Mogoditshane respectively.
The trio, together with two others who are still at large, allegedly robbed a shop in Broadhurst and in the process, got
away with items worth over P13 000.00 and cash amounting to P3000,00.
In Mogoditshane, the same suspects allegedly attacked and robbed a shop of items worth over P17 000.00 and cash amounting to over P12 000.00. The suspects fled the scene in a getaway car and were later arrested.
The police have since recovered a pellet gun suspected to have been used in the commission of the offence, two knives, 11 cellphones, two car batteries, a car key belonging to one of the victims, different airtime vouchers and cash
amounting to over P9 000.00.
Soil, in Mogoditshane, the police have apprehended four Batswana men aged between 28 and 36 of Mogocitshane and Thebephatshwa in connection with a murder incident that occurred at Stay Well Hotel in Mogoditshane on 5 March 2022. The suspects appeared before Broadhurst Magistrate Court today (07/03/2022) and have been remanded
in prison.
In another incident, Serve police have made a breakthrough following the murder of a 25-year-old man at Topisi on 4 March 2022. A day later, the police arrested three men aged between 17 and 19 of Botaladle and Tebele wards in Topisi The deceased mashanga, was assaulted by the suspects at a local bar. The suspects are in police custody pending further investigations.
Meanwhile, in Mahalapye, police have arrested two Batswana men aged 26 and 28 in connection with a series ofbreakings in Mahalapye. The suspects were arrested at
their homes, and goods amounting to P78 229.00 were recovered. The duo is in police custody, pending further investigations.
