Pay For Your Own Showers-Sesame Mosweu

Former Yarona FM presenter come lawyer Sesame Mosweu thinks ladies should be paying for their bridal and baby showers, what do you think? It has become a norm lately for people even when they are not very close to you to just ‘tell’ and not ask you to be their organisers where you are always required to pop out some money as per their decision.

She posted on Facebook that friends are just supposed to be making arrangements and not be giving money. Here are her exact words;

“I’m going to say something that will make many women uncomfortable. It’s not my intension but I have to. Here goes. A woman should pay for her own bridal and baby shower, her friends should make arrangements. That way, it’s their effort and ideas you require and not their money. In an ideal world ‘bae’ should foot the bill and your friends make it snazzy. That being said future bae wee, start to save for my housewarming. That’s where you start to pay motho wa Modimo”.

The statement got mixed responses concurring and completely disregarding the idea.
