The game between Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs was the one to watch this past weekend, and will possibly remain the most talked about this entire season. The Kgatleng side, Chiefs, redeemed itself after a couple of loses and draws by beating high rolling Rollers 3-2. Township Rollers coach, Mark Harrison blamed the loss on their poor defending.
“Our defending was very poor in the first half, we committed schoolboy errors to allow their first two goals. In the first 25 minutes of the game we were not competitive. At half time we switched to 4-3-2, we were a man down and needed to improve our defensive shape. In the second half we were more competitive, but we needed to play like that from the beginning before the damage was done,” Mark Harrison said.
It’s been a while without a win for Mochudi Centre Chiefs against defending Champions Township Rollers, and their fans could not contain their joy. These 2 teams are top rivals in our football fraternity and when the play the country is always divided into 2. Centre Chiefs is now at position 9 with 9 points, and Township Rollers is at position 3 with 12 points.
