Orapa United Claim Their First Mascom Top 8 Title
The Ostriches stunned Township Rollers 3-1 after extra-time to lift their maiden Top 8 Cup at the Francistown Sports Complex in Francistown the past Saturday night. They were the under dogs of the final, as they were up against a big team which is also leading the premier league. Township Rollers were the firs on the scoreboard, an Orapa came back with and equalizer from their top striker, Ronald Chikomo, which saw the match going on extra time.
The Ostriches were on fire in the 2nd half and netted 2 more goal, putting the champions dream for Rollers far-fetched. Orapa head coach Madinda Ndlovu dedicated their 2015/16 Mascom Top 8 Cup glory to the team’s management and supporters.
