Behind bars and out of options, Zenzi is determined to endure the brutal prison system alone. Still, survival in the chilling confines of jail requires allies, and she reluctantly joins forces with TK (Danica Jones), a cunning inmate with a dangerous hidden agenda. Betrayal strikes when Zenzi realises a deadly target is on her back. Desperate and running out of time, Zenzi’s forced into uneasy partnerships with Detective Lyners (Ilse Klink), Detective Morkel (Waldermar Schultz), and her estranged sister, Naledi (Dineo Langa) as she breaks out of prison and goes on the run, torn between the pull of vengeance and the promise of freedom.

Following a successful first season, familiar faces return to the story, including Zenzi’s former employer, the anxious yet fiercely loyal writer Lufuno (Mothusi Magano), and ruthless crime untouchables Reuben Theron (Colin Moss) and Andrew Harting (Frank Rautenbach). Escalating the stakes in Zenzi’s perilous world are new figures: S’bu (Siv Ngesi), Eric Davids (Kevin Smith), and Detective Visser (Erica Wessels), each with their own motives that will shape her relentless mission. The new season also features the award-winning Sindi Dlathu and the late, incomparable Sello Motloung, who plays Zenzi and Naledi’s father.
Synopsis
