“I Am Not Going To Leave My Music For Church”, Says Vee
In an interview with Gaona Tlhasana of Gaona Live fame, Local Kwaito Kwasa artist Vee said his greatest achievement is his spirituality. Vee says that having peace, is much better than fame and money, and his spirituality gives him a content space. But nonetheless, Vee tells his fans that as much as he is a christian, he still maintains his entertainment course of life.
Vee has been a christian since Form 2, but just like many teenage boys, he left the christian path when he was proceeding to Form 5. He was at a stage where he was still trying to discover himself and fell on the hands of peer pressure, that is when he started experiencing with music and found out that he had talent. He argues that even in ancient Bible times, great Kings like David and Saul used to sing when they were sad, happy or celebrating.
About those fans who call him a hypocrite, since he sings at nightclubs for drunkards, he says he is not doing it their way, but the God way. He says he is bringing the message of God to the people who need it the most.
