Mpho Sebina Sparks Journey To Her Sophomore Ep “Alkebulan” With Two Brand New Lead Tracks “Fire” & “Lioness”
Botswana born singer & songwriter, Mpho Sebina makes a gradual return to the scene with the lead tracks “Fire” & “Lioness” to her sophomore EP “Alkebulan” which is set for release on the 10th of October 2024. It has been over 3 months since her first single of the year titled “Tshepo” which was complimented with a stunning visualiser on YouTube prior to premiering on MTV’s ‘Spanking New Premiere’ segment.
She now returns with two amazing lead tracks titled “Fire” with MiDi KwaKwa and “Lioness” with Lioness Ratang which activate the journey to her forthcoming sophomore EP “Alkebulan”.
“Fire” with Ghananian R&B singer and songwriter “MiDi KwaKwa” infuses mellow African live instrumentals with a Neo-Soul and Jazzy sound. Mpho Sebina’s soothing and smooth vocals are complimented by MiDi KwaKwa’s falsetto vocals. This is then accompanied by “Lioness” which features South African singer & songwriter “Lioness Ratang”.
“Lioness” is a track that touches on the immaculate possibilities of the world, if only one chooses to believe and pursue their dreams like the lioness they are. It infuses live instrumentals with a soulful and African sound over an easy listen hook and amazing vocals from Mpho Sebina and Lioness Ratang.
The two singles set the mood for the forthcoming EP as they open up on a note of positivity and inspiration through moving and yet relaxing RnB sounds whilst showcasing a Pan-African theme in which many fans from across Africa will get to experience on the 10th of October 2024. “Alkebulan” is available for pre-order currently which can be done here.
