Man Appears Before NATA Magistrate Court
A Motswana man, Bakang Sebina aged 28 of Gaborone
before Nata Magistrate Court
oday (24/10/2022) for robbery.
The accused was arrested in Gaborone on 18/10/2022 and a total amount of USD1 620.00, ZAR32
000.00 and P5 413.00 suspected to be proceeds of crime was recovered from him.
The accused and four others who are still at large are suspected to have attacked security guards at
Pelican Lodge in Nata, last week Monday (17/10/2022). The quintet is reported to have subsequently
robbed a Namibian businessman of cash amounting to USD90 000.00. ZAR162 000.00 and P800.00
belonging to Pelican Lodge.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects have also been on Police Wanted List for Robbery
and Shop Breaking and Theft that occurred in Gaborone, Mahalapye, Serowe and Maun.
The accused will appear again before Nata Magistrate Court on 08/1 1/2022.
Meanwhile the Police are looking for Lesego Gasewarona (also known as Tboy) of Maunafiala,
Maitapiso Thuso Kgakgamatso of Maun, Kitso Sebetsa Keadumele (nicknamed Weapon) of
Gaborone and Mpho Rasetena (who goes by the name Ras T) also of Gaborone. The quartet is key
in assisting with further investigations into the matter.
