Qualifications
BGCSE or equivalent
Experience
At least 2 years
Job Purpose
To undertake all aspects of materials handling, including receiving, storing, issuing and distribution of stock, using appropriate equipment and machinery as per laid down processes and procedures.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
DUTIES
Supply Chain Management
Performs routine supply chain tasks by following established procedures to support others.
Bins stock items in their designated locations to ensure accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness in issuing and stock counting.
Reports on all stock outs and items requiring replenishment so that ordering process is done promptly.
Quality
Performs relatively simple quality sampling and inspection of products.
Identifies incorrect or damaged goods and reports discrepancies to supervisor to ensure that the Corporation pays for only usable goods.
Operating Machine or Equipment
Operates various machines, adjusting work sequence and/or other variables to improve efficiency.
Logistics / Arrangements
Maintains schedules for material delivery appointment calendars and reserves meeting rooms according to specific instructions.
Improvement / Innovation
Implements improvements and carries out simple change management tasks by following established procedures to support others.
Document Management
Maintains files and records by following established procedures.
Distributes copies of warehouse transactions documents to user departments and files warehouse copies for ease of reference.
Compliance
Works within current compliance processes, systems and procedures and reports shortcomings
Client & Customer Management (External & Internal)
Carries out simple procedural tasks to support management of external and internal client/customer relationships.
Administration
Performs standard administrative data processing tasks (e.g., materials requisitions, time and expense recording, etc.) for the principle.
Checks and receives goods against duly authorised BPC purchase orders and ensures goods are accompanied by proper documentation.
Captures all transaction documents so that the computer record is kept up to date.
Safety, Health and Environment
Operates in accordance with policies and rules.
Ensures good housekeeping and that safety are maintained to high standards and controls traffic in stores to avoid congestion and other hazards.
