Livestock Feed Subsidy from 1st August 2022 until 31st January 2023

The Ministry of Agriculture informs the farming community and members of the

public that subsequent to government’s approval of the 15% Livestock Feed
Subsidy ((Cattle, Sheep and Goats) the following shall be observed;
The duration of the subsidy will be effective for 6 months from ,1 August 2022 to 31 January
2023
The subsidized livestock feeds
vaccine will be sold at Botswana Marketing Board (BAMB) an
All participating outlets/traders must register at the nearest Department of Animal Production (DAP) office
Government shall not pay for any product beyond the
maximum subsidy selling
price.

Government has declared this year a moderate drought year throughout the
country. The subsidy applies to the following; roughage, mineral supplements
and botulism vaccine.
