Job description
Main Purpose
The IT Support Specialist primary responsibility is to implement and provide proximity IT Support of the manufacturing infrastructure and Operations, including computer hardware, software, applications, network printers and scanners, as well as other manufacturing related technologies. The position will be responsible for providing service delivery which includes incident, problem, and change management to facilitate Information Technology initiatives within the location.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Hardware Support
Server Management and Monitoring.
Network Management & internet support
Computers and computer Hardware; installation, monitoring & maintenance
Software Support
Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots Microsoft Windows OS
Monitoring performance, troubleshooting & escalating for support on all inhouse softwares as required (Sarine, Fantasy, Dialit, Diamtech, HR & Finance Softwares, security)
New Installations and Projects
Installs and configures workstations, software and systems
Installs and configures network switches, servers, security servers, routers and access points, backup storage servers, network lines
Provide assistance to internal and external IT teams with all project and support related deliverables
Supplier engagement/management
Act as an onsite point of contact for internal technical issues, working with internal and external IT Teams, including external vendors
Works with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality operational support
Training
Provide training and knowledge transfer to all employees as necessary
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Computer Science/Computer Software/Computer system Engineering
Experience in helpdesk software, intech support, desktop support or software engineering
Proficiency in Windows 10 OS and Office Suite (0365)
3-5+ years’ experience in IT support & services function
COMPETENCIES
Ability to build and maintain business partnerships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly self-motivated and able to work with little day to day supervision
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with focus on attention to detail.
