Minister of Youth Empowerment Sport and Culture Development Thapelo Olopeng has announced that his request for the extension of entertainment hours during the festive season holidays.

He made the announcement at the BDP press conference yesterday and also took to social media.

“All music lovers, music promoters and athletes:
Cabinet has approved entertainment hours on the following dates: December 24th, 25, 26th and 31st.
January 1st and 2nd 2018.
Times: 6pm to 6am #lalavuka.
I kindly request all stakeholders to facilitate the necessary on time to all applicants.
Please celebrate responsibly.
1.Don’t drink and drive.
2.Don’t over speed.
3.Avoid traveling long distances at night.
4.Check the condition of your car tyres before you travel.
NOTE: These time extensions are for entertainment not sale of liquor.
