The Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) is a technology research institute whose mandate is to undertake research, identify and or develop appropriate technologies in line with national priorities and needs of Botswana.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Analyse livelihoods data from both primary and secondary sources and write reports and policy briefs on vulnerability and adaptive capacity levels of various sectors and communities to climate change and extreme events.
Write policy briefs.
Develop research concept notes and proposals for seeking external research funding.
Education:
A Bachelor of Arts degree (Environmental Science and Art Combination) is required.
Experience and Working Knowledge:
Recent evidence on routine hands-on experience in livelihoods and vulnerability analysis in relation to climate change and variability is a requirement.

BITRI offers attractive working conditions and remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience. The above posts are for five (5) years fixed term contracts of employment.
