Winter is a season that comes with so many dynamic fashion rules. This is the time of the year that some adults find it OK to wear pyjamas and hit the mall. It’s one thing working at home in your pyjamas and quite another going out in them to the shops. People assume you have slept in those pajamas, meaning you’ve been wearing them for like 6-8 hours. And the fact that you are still wearing them implies that you haven’t showered or washed yet.
Only acceptable if you have flu and are desperately getting medicine from the chemist, even then its a bit dodgy. The same reason is in unacceptable in the real world to go out in curlers, or your underwear, it suggests to others that you have low priorities in regards to hygiene or appearance, and people will extrapolate from that that you are lazy.
There’s also the fact that a lot of pajamas are usually made from very thin material which can be particularly form-fitting, this could be considered to be overly revealing and possibly unflattering. We are not suggesting people spend hours getting ready but lets face it, putting on a pair of jeans or denim skirt, and a t-shirt doesn’t take much longer than 5 mins.
