Intern 1 (Events Coordinator)
We are looking for a competent Event coordinator to oversee and organize events that will make an impact to a target audience. They will ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.
An event coordinator is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.
Responsibilities:
• Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
• Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
• Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
• Excellent command of the English Language ( written and spoken)
• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Be in charge of hiring personnel (DJs, waiters etc.)
• Coordinate all operations
• Lead promotional activities for the event
• Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
• Approve all aspects before the day of the event
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
• Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports
Requirements:
• Proven experience as event coordinator
• Skilled in project management
• Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
• Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• A knack for problem-solving
• Customer-service orientation
• A team player with leadership skills
• Degree in PR, marketing, or related field is preferred
Intern 2 (Public Relations and Communications + Blogging)
We are seeking a media relations person to play an integral role in public/media relations, corporate communications, journalism and content creation .
Responsibilities:
• Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
• Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences.
• Create content regularly to grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, blogging, write-ups and creative content).
• Collaborate with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership columns.
• Establish a sustainable, strategic approach to PR based on adding value to media outlets and event managers.
Requirements:
• Degree
• Excellent command of the English Language ( written and spoken)
• Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content.
• The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
• Knowledge in pitching, crafting, and placing content externally through guest blogging or op-ed development and experience with event management and sponsorships will be an added advantage.
Intern 3 (Email and SMS Marketing)
Responsibilities:
• Define and manage email & SMS marketing strategies and approaches
• Own and oversee email, an SMS campaigns
• Utilizing data to build customer segmentations and targeting (with support from analytics team)
• Encourage data quality improvements and best practices
• Perform ongoing A/B testing to improve campaign performance
• Monitor, track, and communicate campaign results with stakeholders
• Create high quality digital content together with the Creative Department, bringing impactful messages to life with an eye for astonishing design with ROI as the end goal
• Act as a liaison between Marketing, Creative Design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in all campaigns
• Constantly research digital communications best practices, trends and technologies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or Business Management .
• Knowledge of marketing principles, creative development and execution processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics or similar analytics tools
• Previous experience with lead generation is an asset
• Highly analytical and data minded, with a solid understanding of segmentation and targeting
• The ability to work well with different teams, as well as individually
Intern 4 (Web content writer)
Responsibilities:
• Writing web content for websites / portals from scratch.
• Editing and Proof reading content once written.
• Writing, editing and proof reading copy for client projects based on the material supplied by them.
• Writing product descriptions, brand support material etc.
• Proof reading, editing and writing content on a regular basis for building up the website including informative short articles.
• Check web pages finally before making them live.
• Writing content for online magazines.
Requirements:
• A graduate with a good command over the English language.
• Excellent command of the English Language ( written and spoken)
• A flair for writing with an understanding of what works on the internet.
• An ability to work in a team with good communication skills.
• An effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly. A knack for editing and proof reading with good research skills.
• Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences.
• An understanding of keywords and Meta tags – Ability to write web page titles, meta tag descriptions, alt tags for images etc.
• Experience with a publishing house can be an added advantage.
Intern 5 (Customer Complaints Officer)
Responsibilities:
• To respond to all complaints received by our customers and representatives, meeting our obligations as a company and our governing regulations.
• Accurately record all complaints, actions, findings and corrective activity.
• Treat all cases fairly and on an individual basis.
• To identify trends or patterns that could require close monitoring.
• Liaise with all internal and external departments.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone and via email.
• Excellent command of English and Setswana.
• Friendly and professional telephone etiquette.
• Excellent team work.
• Excellent IT skills (experience in using a CRM system is desirable although not essential).
• Accuracy and good attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.
